This adaptor is for the UV-K5 Version 3. If you have a UV-K5 Version 1, use the CEC cable adaptor instead. If you’re not sure which you have, GO HERE.
SUPPORT NOTE: The USB input on these radios are finicky. This adapter meets the mechanical schematics required to work, but the quality of your USB cable and 3.5mm cable will greatly impact performance. If you experience wonky behavior, switch out to higher quality / shorter cable lengths.
Additionally for this reason: Compatibility with the UV-K1 radio is considered experimental at this time, although many users are having success with the right cable combination.
